I tested the power supply with a multimeter, and the output accuracy is good! After comparing many power supplies on the market, this model has complete functions. It can be used to test DIY electronic products, repair mobile phones, and charge laptops. It will beep when short-circuited, which is convenient for power-on detection. It is very convenient to connect some high-voltage and current electromechanical or battery charging with an output switch. It is a great product.

Very convenient to control both the current and the voltage

The way this is designed is very convenient. You can select which digit you manipulate on the main knobs by pressing the knobs rather than turning them and then you can fine tune it using the knob below. There are two knobs like this dedicated to voltage and two knobs dedicated to current. It also provides two different protection mechanisms, both over current protection and over voltage protection. You can configure both them by simply holding down the OCP or OVP buttons and then making the adjustments. I tested the OVP system, simply by setting a lower permissible voltage and then after configuring a voltage higher than the set amount, when I pressed the output button to activate the charge, it would trigger the alarm exactly as designed. This is particularly useful in scenarios where you want to safeguard sensitive equipment you're powering or testing.I also tested the voltage using my multi-meter and found it to be extremely accurate. I think it was .01 volts less than set and that slight variation is probably due to the wiring to the multi-meter so it's extremely accurate. As I adjusted the voltage, the measurements matched perfectly.I was also able to charge my phone with one of the charger ports, so I'd say they work pretty good too. It's nice to have both USB A and C options if needed.It's not very big, nor bulky, nor heavy. Also the alligator clips worked just fine as well. Also, when you make each adjustment, it beeps letting you know the setting changed, so you're not going to accidentally be adjusting knobs and not know it. I really have nothing bad to say about this unit. I think it's a great product so far. I'm honestly impressed.

Just what the workbench needed

Husband is really pleased with this power supply unit, and says this was what the electronics workbench needed. It's well made, the instructions are clear and easy to read, and everything works as advertised. Husband advises that you really need to read the manual, all necessary specs are in there. Even though it looks small, it is a powerful unit.

When you see NICE-POWER, you know one thing....

Noice power, mate! This is a well-built benchtop PSU. I got the 5A version but would recommend the higher 10A version if you can swing it instead. EVen still, this PSU performs well. I like how it has three ports on the front instead of the standard two, since it includes the ground, which is always a welcome feature. I haven't had any issues with mine. It seems to hold the settings and produce the desired current or voltage as specified. I would recommend it to any electronic repair hobbyist or even a small-time pro like myself.

This power supply works at advertised. I am a very amateur hobbyist and this works well for me. It's easy to use and works well.
